[Qgis-user] QGIS compiled against GDAL 1.9 ?

Probably not what you're after, or very professional :) but...

I compiled 1.9 and replaced the gdal18.dll with it to
test one particular feature I was after.  Worked for me,
but wasn't pushing the limits that's for sure.  Drop me
a note if you want more details or the files I used.  This
was with QGIS from OSGeo4W.  And I think it supported
PGeo db provider too.
