[Qgis-user] Converting CSV into a database

Gerhardus,

I wonder if something is strange with the main qgis packages. I suggest
trying the packages from Ubuntugis repositories instead, as detailed here:

http://hub.qgis.org/projects/quantum-gis/wiki/Download#Ubuntu-With-updated-dependencies

So try to remove your current install, change your repos, and the update
and install again, making sure to grab the python-qgis too.
