Black pixels can probably be cured by changing the sqlite3.dll to a fresh version. OSGeo4W comes with a really old from year 2008. But for me version 1.9.0 from OSGeo4W installation does not still open multitable databases. Versions installed with QGis Windows installer can open them, if not otherwise then after replacing the outdated sqlite3.dll.
