[Qgis-user] Issues with real time gps tracking and gps tools

I retried the above with 

QGIS version
1.8.0-Lisboa
and Ubuntu 12.04
With 
sudo modprobe  garmin_gps 
and 
gpsd running i can use the live tracking feature.
