When designing field experiments having the ability to duplicate and rotate or move around a set of points or other features would be very useful.

Also PostGIS has a full featured ST_Rotate() function.

Thanks for the response.
yes it can be done inside the DB but I guess that for most of the users
having such tool in the editing toolbar would be great.
I recently had to do some digitizing work (starting from an already
existing work) to do a land use map and I also felt the lack of tools
like:
* fill hole/fill space (space between polygons)
* add ring+automatic fill
* a tool to help remove overlapped areas
These are all probably more useful (or "in demand") than a tool to rotate a features. I thought this specific case that Agus brought up would be quite rare in general geoprocessing, so it's good to see there is a procedure that can handle it, even tho' it's not a one-click GUI tools.
Just in case I already filed tickets with feature requests.
