[Qgis-user] vector layer calculation

Hi all,

I have given a vector layer database and I overlay it on QGIS. This vector
layer is generated from a postgis database of road network.
As usual road data is stored as "linestring" data.linestring is consisted
of set of co-ordinates.

what i want to do is retrieve linestring data  of given road
segment(segment is given as start and end points).
