If you have access to all computers, are there any benifit to set up
a map-server?

For instance if you have a set with a lot of ortofoto, it's take a lot of
time to load fore instance 100 pictures into a workspace in QGIS. Have you
better controll if the pictures are on a server and when I add, only
ortofoto over my area of intresst are shown. Or can you also do that in a
QGIS workspace?

As I see the big idea nowdays with Map-servers, are that you may limit the
access of data, or?
