Dear partners in misery and merciful helpers,
I've got the feeling the 1.8.0-2~raring1 QGIS package from ubuntugis-unstable
for 13.04 64bit is broken.
Yes, I did
- purge every qgis package separately
- delete all the .qgis folders
- now also reboot and aptitude update & aptitude dist-upgrade
(no idea what for)
- a fresh install of the qgis package
The old 1.8.0-1~quantal3 32bit QGIS package on another computer works
like a charm. I hope I do not have to build from source to get a working
QGIS 1.8 on a recent Ubuntu.
Is the package really broken or did I do something utterly wrong?
cheers,
robert
