[Qgis-user] Counting the sum of points in a polygon

Hi Steve,

Actually you may be able to do what you want by the "Join by location"
plugin which can do group summaries. See Vector --> Data Management -->
Join attributes by location.

Another route would be the "Spatial Query plugin" which lets you select
points inside a given polygon. With that selection you can assign the
polygon value to the points and then use the "Group stats" plugin.
However, this is a lot of manual work assigning the polygon information
to the points.
