[Qgis-user] SQL-Server Layer in QGis 2.0.1 and different OS

Hi,

a few days ago i installed QGis 2.0.1 on Windows 8 64 Bit / Fedora 19 64
Bit / Ubuntu 12.04 & 13.04 64 Bit,
- the packages you can get at the QGis-Homepage.
On every linux machine i installed unixdobc / freetds / iodbc,
configured the odbc connection to my SQL-Server
and was able to connect to that instance with isql & iodbctest.
But when i tried to load a SQL-Server (2012) layer to QGis the windows
installation was the only one, that
worked as expected.

On Fedora every point layer loaded perfectly, but from polyon layers
only the smallest
one were displayed. No error message and monitoring network traffic with
wireshark didn't give me a clue.
I tried to play around with the textsize-parameter of FreeTDS, but that
didn't change a thing.

In both Ubuntu installations i didn't work at all, i only got the error
message "Driver not loaded Driver not loaded",
despite the fact, that the odbc-connect on the command line works.

Any ideas about where i went wrong?

Thanks
Stefan
