[Qgis-user] Newbie issue with layers

Hey Mary,

This sounds like it could be a "projection" issue.

Can you see if they actually overlap?

You can check that quickly by highlighting (left click) the layer in the
layer list, then go to View -> Zoom To Layer
Do that for both layers and see if the Zoom to Layer takes you different
places.
