[Qgis-user] "Save As..." from PostGIS layer ignores BBOX

Hi

 

We are having an issue trying to save selected features from a PostGIS
layer to a different format.

 

The layer is very large (5.5 million polygons) and even with only one
feature selected and the Extent set to "Map View Extent" QGIS hangs when
trying to save to another file. It seems to be trying to process every
feature in the layer rather than filtering the layer down using the
bounding box first.

 

Is this a bug or is the bounding box not used for this?
