Jake , this looks like a problem with your client id setup. You would need
to use client_id for Native Applications, verify in Cloud Console that you
are using the correct type of client id.

Also note that the connector works only with the platform edition of maps
engine (not lite or pro). Check that you are using the correct edition.If
you haven't signed up for google maps engine yet you can get a trial
account at https://mapsengine.google.com/projects/new
