[Qgis-user] How to update the geometry of a table

Greetings all,

 

I have a couple hundred rows of a table that I would like to update with new coordinates, I'm trying to figure out how to do this in QGIS (i.e. i know  i can do this through the sql tool). I can't see a way to modify the geometry directly in the field calculator. I'm trying to do this regardless of the layer type .
