I use a soilmart (government site) to download the soil polygons and the
database data. soilmart is organized by county. In one county it works while
in the other it does not work. I can see the join field in the style sheet
in both counties. I can set it up in layer's properties exactly the same and
it all looks identical until I apply the settings. Then one county displays
the layer properly, in the other not at all.

Hi Jake,

Could you check the field that the style apples to?
(Because it sounds a lot like when I apply my saved style that works on the
"Au_ppb" field to a layer with an "Auppb" field)

Also, is the field you're classifying is in the joined table? 

Did the join work as expected?

And, is this in QGIS 2.4?
