[Qgis-user] qgis server - line symbology

I'm using Qgis Desktop 2.6, and when I move the files to the qgis web
server, the symbology for lines as well as polygon outlines do not get
rendered any other way than a black line. Points and polygon fills (solid
and hatching) symbolize correctly in qgis server.

I have done this before and had it working, but perhaps under a different
version.  The underlying vector data is shapefiles.

Any suggestions?
