[Qgis-user] Displaying custom raster band names

Hello all,

I'm dealing with multispectral raster imagery on a daily basis, and I 
have a really quick question : does anyone know if it is possible to use 
custom raster band names in the raster's "Properties" window, rather 
than e.g. an obscure "Band 7"?

My use case is exactly the same as what's described on the ArcGIS blog 
here[1]. I can easily add PAM metadata to each GeoTiff raster if needed.
