[Qgis-user] Tabulate area with QGIS

1)      Add an attribute column

2)      Open Field Calculator

3)      Update Existing field

4)      Under the Function list find Geometry --> $area

5)      The area will be calculated in the units of the CRS

6)      If necessary use the appropriate conversion factor to put the value
into other desirable units such as acres, hectares etc.
