Hi,
You can unzip it as is using a zip program like 7zip.  Also, google earth can save in both kmz and kml.  You just need to select it as kmz is the default.

Hi Marilena, a KMZ is just a zipped folder with a KML an other stuff. So you could try to rename that file from .kmz to .zip, unzip it, and then import the KML into QGIS. Hope that helps Bernd Am 14.02.2015, 20:51 Uhr, schrieb [hidden email] < [hidden email] >: <blockquote style="border-left:2px solid #cccccc;padding:0 1em" style="margin:0 0 0.8ex;border-left:#0000ff 2px solid;padding-left:1ex"> Dear all, I produced a map that contains several points that I would like to import with Google maps ( https://www.google.com/maps/d/?hl=it ) in QGIS in order to have a shapefile. In Google map I exported in kml but Google transforms the map (in the download) as kmz and I don't know how to import it. Can anyone help me? Or is there a faster way? Thanks a lot Marilena -- Bernd Vogelgesang Siedlerstraße 2 91083 Baiersdorf/Igelsdorf Tel: 09133-825374 _______________________________________________
