[Qgis-user] Raster display options, color rendering, blending mode

Hi,
You probably don't have a no data value in your raster. If that no data value is "0" or worst, -32768 then that value will be use to render the image.
You can temporally manually add a no data value in the layer properties. Then, that value will become transparent. If you what to add it permanently to the raster, you can use gdal warp, or add it in the "save raster" menu.

Hi QGISers, I was getting some odd results when adjusting this option. It took me a little while to realise that the background color was being used in the rendering process. This is something I can work around until I need to use a black background. Is there a way to make the background color not interact with any visible layers? Thanks Matt
