[Qgis-user] Plug in - Dimensioning

New to QGIS but making good progress.

Using the Dimensioning Plug in, I cannot "select two points".  Is there
knack to this?  I have tried various combinations of editing and selecting
but nothing works.   OTF is off.

Any thoughts?  The instructions are quite sparse.
