[Qgis-user] Loading OS Mastermap Data into QGIS

Hi Martin,

 

OS Translator II can load your files. But you need to install and configure a PostGIS connection:

Once PostGIS is installed, you need to create a connection to your database in QGIS. OS Translator II can be then used to load all your data into PostGIS:

OS Masterdata. ITN files in the format .gz

I am struggling, as a new user to load all of these files into QGIS 2.8.

I can load files one at a time (or select all the files in a sub-folder), each time getting a new window asking which vector layers to add (Road, RoadLink, RoadNode - which appear to be all that any of the files contain) and then having to hit Select All and OK. Each one of these then creates a new layer.

I've searched the internet and found several solutions (so called) that say they can load OS data but I cannot find one that works. (add in OS Translator II, and a few other external programs that I have now lost track of).

Surely there is a way to load all these files without having to do Select All and OK, fo each single file, and to create one single layer?
