[Qgis-user] shapefile

HI,
I have a shapefile that shows up in a project.  But whne I open it into
another project it doesn't show up. In another instance I had a shapefile
that I opened an it showed up, but was so extremely larger then what it
should have been.  I know this is a CRS issue, but not sure how to correct.
Suggestions?
