[Qgis-user] elevation points vs contour lines consistency control

dear all
in my project i have a number of elevation points and contour lines in the
same map.
since the two files come from different sources, i'd like to check the
consistency of points with contours, e.g. a point with height value 1347
should fall between the 1340 line and the 1350 line. is there an automatic
way in Qgis to spot inconsistencies?
