[Qgis-user] qgis 2.8 crash on sql spacial add layer

I have googled around a bit, but can't figure this one out.

Have a very simple table, id, geom and state code  Multi-poly in the geom field.

All I really want to do is display it and export it to a KML, but as soon as I add the table to qgis is crashes.. any suggestions
