[Qgis-user] Warning: Different behavior of $length in Field Calculator in "real" fields and virtual fields

Fighting with getting lengths measured in meters I found this:

In Field Calculator $length returns the length in meters if the project CRS
uses meters (and OTF is on), *but not if it is used in a virtual field* -
then you will get length in units of the layer CRS!
