Hi Marcel,
haven't seen this with my QGIS here (but I'm on Debian).
Is it possible it has something to do with the changed project file
syntax? Are you using older project files?
Is this issue also apparent when you start a fresh project?
If so: please create an reproducable use case and add an issue in the
issue list: see:
http://qgis.org/en/site/getinvolved/development/index.html#bugs-features-and-issues
(we are short in mac testers :-) )
