[Qgis-user] heatmap plugin and layers controlled by a filter

Hi list 

A silly question about the heatmap plugin

I have defined a layer and applied a filter to the layer so only some parts
are displayed.

When I attempt to use the heatmap plugin, it seems to ignore the filter and
use the entire layer as input to the heatmap.  If there any way that I can
apply a filter to the data that heatmap plugin is going to use to create a
result.
