[Qgis-user] Bug in distances calculated by Processing Distance to nearest hub tool?

Hi,

I'm testing the Distance to nearest hub tool in the Processing toolbox
using the airports and populated places from the QGIS sample data (CRS
Alaska Albers +proj=aea +lat_1=55 +lat_2=65 +lat_0=50 +lon_0=-154 +x_0=0
+y_0=0 +datum=NAD27 +units=us-ft +no_defs).

If the units are set to "layer units", the distances are correct (for
example 359870). But if I set the units to "meters" the results are
same (for example 359870) as for "layer units" (which are feet) and if I
set it to "feet" the results are wrong (for example 1180678).

Could it be that the tool always assumes that the input data CRS is in
meters?

Can you confirm? Should I open a ticket?

Best wishes,
Anita
