[Qgis-user] Conversion Tool

Hi there,
  I am trying to convert a raster to a vector, and I was told I should look
under the Raster menu bar, under the heading, "conversion," and then look
for, "translate." I'm looking under the raster toolbar (q2.6.1), and I
can't find this. Are these instructions correct? Are there other
suggestions on converting a raster to vector?
