[Qgis-user] error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.18

I got this error message by launching QGIS "Las Palmas" 2.18 in a debian jessie

/usr/bin/qgis.bin: error while loading shared libraries:
libmysqlclient.so.18: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

this is my configuration
Linux 4.9.0-0.bpo.3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.25-1~bpo8+1 (2017-05-19)
x86_64 GNU/Linux

for general information I point out that I just migrated from mysql
5.5 to mariadb 10.2

any help to get back qgis to work?
