agreed. we are constantly streamlining and reducing duplication, it's an
ongoing process.

we would all love this; until we reach that stage, it is better to have
alternatives to make sure users can accomplish their tasks anyway.

this is very much true; it's a tricky issue, and we hope to fix it for
QGIS 3

this is less obvious to me: do you have specific examplese and
suggestions? changing descriptions and options is easy, once we have a
ceal idea on what is more intuitive for users

please any time you find a command which is not working, report it; if
you are unsure, just write here; if you are, please open a ticket, so it
can be fixed.
