[Qgis-user] EPSG and ogr2ogr

Hello list,

 

I tried to reproject some shapefiles using OSGeo4W and the following
command:

 

ogr2ogr -t_srs epsg:25832 -s_srs epsg:31467 target_shape source_shape

 

The reprojection did work without error messages, but when I load my new
reprojected shapefile into QGIS, it says that the projection is 3044
(instead of 25832 which I had chosen). However, the position of the shape is
as desired.

 

How can that be?
