[Qgis-user] Keep both qgis2.18 and qgis3.0.2 on Debian machine?

Hi,

all methods to have more than one qgis version on Linux (debian) have
already been mentioned.

I normally install QGIS 3 stable using the normal repositories, I compile
QGIS 3 master from source, and I install QGIS 2.18 using conda-forge.

To compile QGIS you need to follow the instructions available on the source:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/blob/master/INSTALL

Don't forget the change the branch in case you want to install qgis 2.18 or
qgis 3

To install QGIS 2.18 using conda follow the instructions in here:

https://www.northrivergeographic.com/archives/running-2-version-of-qgis-on-ubuntu-linux

Hope it helps,

Alex
