[Qgis-user] North arrow in QGIS

Hi Hugo,

 

The current procedure is about that easy (in map composer) – if you only want a north arrow on the map window then try View, Decorations, North Arrow (plus any of the other decorations). If you are after just simple maps then this is the easy way and you can then export the map window as an image or PDF

I was wondering if there is a more efficient method for adding a north arrow to a map layout in QGIS than adding an image?

 

Something as simple as just clicking somewhere add -> north arrow, and then being able to choose various styles.

 

Is something like this available?
