[Qgis-user] LOSS OF DATA AFTER DELETING DUPLICATE GEOMETRIES

Hi,
I used MMQGIS to delete duplicate geometries. After deleting, I saved the file using a pre-existing name, overwrote the file and opened it.
The file was blank. What could have gone wrong? I have lost all the data/records in the old file. The attribute table was blank and the file fise 1kb.
How do I recover my records?
