[Qgis-user] Alternative to Evis plugin to view images with relative path

as far as I remember, reading the developers mailing list, there was
more or less the need to decide what to do with eVis, cause none had
worked on the code for a lot of years and it became incompatible to the
new version.

As it seemed that none really used the plugin anymore, they skipped it.
I have to admit, I didn't use it too, but the current situation is not
perfect either.
