[Qgis-user] Alternative to Evis plugin to view images with relative path

Hi Scott

Try the 'import geotagged photos' processing tool:

"
Import geotagged photos

Creates a point layer corresponding to the geotagged locations from JPEG
images from a source folder. Optionally the folder can be recursively
scanned.

The point layer will contain a single PointZ feature per input file from
which the geotags could be read. Any altitude information from the geotags
will be used to set the point's Z value.

Optionally, a table of unreadable or non-geotagged photos can also be
created."

To create a preview of the image at each point there are various options
like using layer actions, image markers, but the simplest is probably just
to use the Attributes form tab in the layer properties dialog and select
the image path field and choose the Attachment widget type then set the
integrated document viewer option to 'image'.

Hope that helps!

Regards

Tim
