An other python based possibility would be to use ezdxf which gives you
access to all or only special DWG/DXF entities and convert them directly
into GIS vector data: https://ezdxf.readthedocs.io/en/stable/

Hi,
I was just about to try and push out version 3.16.14 but it has been
pointed out that if you export to MapInfo tab file it is no longer saving
the projection in the output.
Is anyone else finding that the resulting files are doing this and is there
a work around using say gdal options?
