Hi,
In your Styling, set it to Categorized and select the field which has your County Names.
Click Classify and you should get the full list of Counties. You can then modify your style to match your requirements.
Regard’s,

Richard.

Subject: [Qgis-user] Displaying county attribute names in the layers column

Greetings,
I have a state county outline layer in a project and wish to be able to see a list of the county names in the Layers column.
I looked through the options for the Layers Properties and also went through the menus but I saw nothing obvious.

How might I accomplish this?
Thanks,
WV-Mike
