[Qgis-user] The Split Features tool is not working...

Hi,
No, the "Split features" tool is meant to create separate features (ref https://docs.qgis.org/testing/en/docs/user_manual/working_with_vector/editing_geometry_attributes.html#split-features) but you also have the "Split parts" tool that does what Erick Castillo described (https://docs.qgis.org/testing/en/docs/user_manual/working_with_vector/editing_geometry_attributes.html#split-parts). The icons look alike so maybe you selected the wrong one?

Regards,
Harrissou

Always check for topology errors before and after using such tools. The “Fix geometry” tool is good for this sort of thing if you find errors.

Apparently it works as indicated in the manual, even though I've done that procedure some time before, but when it is divided in two parts and I select individually each polygon, it remains as one and even shows the division line. It produces an error in topology (obviously) that shows in the topology checker tool.
