[Qgis-user] Determining the Name of the Current Style File of a QGIS layer

Thank you, Raymond, for your clear and logical explanation.

When I think about it a bit more, it is obvious that having a style file 
name attached to a layer's properties doesn't make sense.  I could apply 
a style file to a layer and have its name recorded as a layer property.

However, I could then edit the layer's style, but not save the change to 
the original style file.  Hence the style file name recorded in the 
layer properties would no longer be valid.
