Hi all,

I would like to draw your attention to my brand new QGIS plugin “Georeferencer Extension”, which was released today. It allows us to create virtual images (VRT) instead of GeoTIFFs and also lets us crop the georeferencing result on-the-fly.

The main advantage is that with iterative georeferencing, we can update the already loaded result again and again, as VRT files can be overwritten. The plugin also allows us to quickly and easily crop already georeferenced images.

More info here: https://github.com/cxcandid/GeorefExtension

Maybe someone can test the plugin in Linux and/or Mac OS, because I have only Windows available.

And please do not hesitate to give me feedback or report bugs, as this is my first contribution.

Kind regards,
Christoph
