I get 3.40.2 version installed, but my daughter wants 3.34.

Yes, noble.

She's taking a QGIS course based on version 3.34. Until now, she's been
updating, but now she's encountered some interface issues, I believe.
The course leader only supports version 3.34. She'll continue with
version 3.40 on her laptop, but when she encounters problems, she'll
use another one with version 3.36.
Finally, I downloaded the DEB packages from
https://debian.qgis.org/debian for version 3.36.3+40noble and installed
them.
Previously, I tried the 3.34.3+40noble packages, but there's a
dependency issue with the libqtcore package on Mint 22.1 (Xia). It's
possible that version 22 (Wilma), also based on Noble, doesn't have
this issue, but I haven't tested it yet.
