[Qgis-user] How Can I just have version LTR 3.44?

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the response, we are a small company so don’t have an IT department so there shouldn’t be any controls affecting what version I can use, and this has not been an issue for me for a whole year, only since the latest release update. The plugin creator just advises to use the older version.

Hi Genna,

Sounds like your workplace may have some control on what version you can use. Maybe ask your IT department if you can remain on an older version (and the reasons why). Maybe also contact the plugin creator and advise the issues you are facing with newer versions. They may have a pathway available to you or can advise when the plugin will be upgraded.

I need to use the LTR 3.44 version of QGIS as the latest release does not work with a plugin I need to be able to use to do my job. Since the current version was released, QGIS 4.0.1 'Norrköping', on 2026-04-03 whatever version I have on my machine updates to the latest version. I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling the LTR 3.44 version, I have tried utilizing the online installer, I have tried the offline installer but despite all this by the next day at work QGIS will have updated itself to QGIS 4.0.1 'Norrköping'.

Please can anyone advise and save me from this endless loop of uninstalling QGIS 4.0.1 'Norrköping', and installing LTR 3.44 version of QGIS?
