[Qgis-user] How Can I just have version LTR 3.44?

Sure you have chosen the LTR (long term release) installer? 3.44 is LTR since march. Use
https://download.qgis.org/downloads/QGIS-OSGeo4W-3.44.9-1.msi
QGIS should not update itself (besides some centralised software management from your company forces to do so) on M$ Windoof.

Hi Genna,

Sounds like your workplace may have some control on what version you can use. Maybe ask your IT department if you can remain on an older version (and the reasons why). Maybe also contact the plugin creator and advise the issues you are facing with newer versions. They may have a pathway available to you or can advise when the plugin will be upgraded.

Since the current version was released, QGIS 4.0.1 'Norrköping', on 2026-04-03 whatever version I have on my machine updates to the latest version. I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling the LTR 3.44 version, I have tried utilizing the online installer, I have tried the offline installer but despite all this by the next day at work QGIS will have updated itself to QGIS 4.0.1 'Norrköping'.
