[Qgis-user] Enable snapping by default vs. Project Snapping Settings

Hi Sylvia,
if you set "Enable snapping by default" option in Settings->Options->Map 
Tools->Digitizing for your QGIS user profile, then the snapping will be 
enabled by default on all new projects that you create using your QGIS 
user profile.

Doesn't it work that way on your system? What QGIS version are you using 
exactly?
