 Personally I prefer an accurate accounting of history, warts and all,
 rather than allowing folks to edit the past.

 The exception is how to deal with spam or illegal content, but those
 haven't been a problem so far AFAIK, and the DB admin can be called in to
 fix the occasional transgression.

 Certainly this option, if it is added, should only be open to trac admins.

 The original ticket description is already editable by admins.
