Yes, that link is rather useless...
The Mediawiki maintainer may remove the link:

... this one is about do-ocracy, i.e. the event owners should take
care of maintaining their pages. Unfortunately it rarely happens. So
that is a nice task for a volunteer to go through and update the pages
(very easy to do, and a welcome contribution!).

No idea here... in Chromium it also happens.
Likely an update of the Mediawiki version would help here. The GRASS
GIS project uses a more recent version, no such issue there:
