[Scotland] Scotsman in exile

Hi there list!

I thought I would introduce myself, as you might think I'm somewhat  
of an impostor! My name is Will Cadell, and I moved from Scotland to  
Northern British Columbia three years ago. I've been a GIS consultant  
to the natural resource industry here ever since and am using open  
source GIS in a 'production' environment. I work for Timberline  
Natural Resource Group in Prince George which is a little industrial  
town about the size of Perth, but significantly more blue collar! I  
had my eyes opened to open source GIS by Tyler Mitchell who was my  
boss for a year or so when I started with Timberline. He recently  
mentioned to me that there is a Scottish osgeo group starting up and  
I couldn't resist getting in touch.

I'm very interested in what is being looked at in Scotland as far as  
open source GIS goes. We're lucky here in BC as we have a virtual hot  
bed of open source development going on. We are well in trenched with  
PostgreSQL and PostGIS as well as mapserver, open layers etc etc.

I'm looking forward to hearing what is happening with you guys,
